…A trip to the origins…Episode 3
…My distant uncle was a veteran of the French Foreign Legion. He enlisted in this French special corp during the 50s to find fortune, to inprove his social and economic level, or , as far as I know, to have something to do in order to satisfy his young unemployed expectations. Leaving out opinions about the route he chose to walk (probably stained with blood and violence), relatives describe him as a gentle man who decided, first of all, to get away from the poverty and from a future without foreseeable opportunities. However, when he became old he chose to return definetily to Italy…
In what famous battle of Indochina was he involved?
…A trip to the origins…Episode 2.
…the “Monopoly card” was an unxpected letter from an unknown lawyer that had been mailed to me several months before. In it he asked me to provide some documents proving that I was related to the relative in question and asked for my authorization to go ahead with the legal procedures for the inheritance.
The deceased relative was a distant uncle wife-less and childless, with a lot of deceased siblings and many living nephews and nieces….
What do you think my uncle did for a living? Why do you think I had to go to Francavilla?
…A trip to the origins…
